Ode à Shakespeare [manuscript], ca. 1927.

Autograph draft by Georges Lafourcade, with many corrections and alterations, of a poem which was awarded the Certificate of Merit for a French poem given at a poetical congress organized in 1927 by the Poetry Society in honor of Shakespeare. Published by authorization of the Society and the directors of the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre of Stratford. The printed ode (1928) is with the MS.
